Spyderco in JAPAN

I am currently travelling in Asia. Over the last few months I've had both my Spyderco knives stolen from my luggage. I will be in Japan next week. I know Spyderco knives are made in Seki, near Nagoya. Does anyone have any info on purchasing knives direct from the factory there. Is this worth it, i.e. cheaper, or should I just wait an go to a dealer in the U.S.
