None, particulary. But I usually carry one for regular cutting chores and it could be used for self defense. The same could do the microspydie attached to the keychain or the Chive I carry for backup.

For defense/offense I carry a fully-serrated stainless Police model, and/or a Cold Steel Vaquero Grande.

For me, this varies depending upon the area, weather, clothing, and whether I am at work, which is police patrol. My 24/7 EDC is the Gunting, which is actually used for light utility but is by design a weapon as well as utility knife. I will use another blade for heavier utility, not because the Gunting is weak but in order to keep its blade sharp at all times. At times, I will carry one or two other knives, depending on the circumstances, which are mostly intended as weapons. Most often, these will be Spyderco Civilians or Strider Karambits. If I am traveling out of state, I try to research the laws to see what is legal, and adapt my carry knives to the circumstances. In some jurisdictions, a knife which is by design or intent a weapon is illegal. For example, outside of Texas and Louisiana, I would hesitate to carry the Civilians unless I carefully established they would not be illegal. My Harpies are smaller and more utility-oriented, and are often used as substitutes for the Civies when traveling. For really strict jurisdictions, the Kiwi might be my carry knife, period. I could write a book, I suppose, on which knives I would carry in each state. Fortunately, the Gunting is legal in most jurisdictions. Just remember, as Steinbeck wrote, the mind is the weapon, and all else is secondary.
