Sorry, I'm not in the "know" anymore when it comes to knives... But classes officially ended today an the University of Michigan! Go me!
So... What's the deal with the 3D natives? What are the changes over the original native? Please, please tell me the entire hole is exposed. That's the only quam I had with that knife, when I had it.
Why is it called 3D?
And when are they planning on releasing these beasts?

There was a topic at Bladeforums with pics of the 3D Native (and maybe here too, not so sure about that). Basically, gray FRN handles, VG-10 steel, Seki made, the blade has a smoother swedge and the handles are more beefy shaped. Overall a nice knife. And no, the hole is not exposed more than the original Native's.

The regular production 3-D Natives will have black FRN handles. All discussion of alternative colours (blue, grey, etc) is related to the Forum Natives.

It looked to me like the hole was a little more exposed.

Has a date been given as to when they'll (both forum and production models) be released?
