Hi Guys,

This is my first post on this forum, and I have a specific question about CF.

Years ago, I bought a CF Walker with a sweet, matte finish. It handles well, and has much more grip than the CF on new models.

Is there a way to make the newer CF more "grippy", and have a duller finish? I think it looks better anyway.

Thanks,

Dave

hi swede,
you could use scotch brite pads. they are used to flatten and put a matt surface on paint and resin (C/F is resin based)before spraying another coat without removing to much paint.
hope this helps

As silly as it may sound, I use those clear strips that you put on the bottom of a bathtub. You can cut them to fit whereever you want them and they come off fairly easily if you want to sell the knife. Putting them on the non-clip side of a SS Police makes it much easier to get out of your pocket.

Be careful when working carbon fiber. You need a respirator for any kind of grinding, and carbon fiber splinters are hell!

any success stories, maybe even pics, of roughed up CF on Spydies?

I've been staring at a couple CF Delicas that are screaming my name, but I just am not sure about the slick CF...

I dunno guys...

CF looks pretty cool. You sure you want to go bashing into it?

I've tried to 'modify' LOTS of knives. In the end, I've always come out sort of disappointed. Maybe I'm just not good enough on the dremel.

I would go with the adhesive grip tape idea. A CF delica/police would be a terrible thing to destroy.
