Hi Sal,

How looks like with a "hardcore military"?

What I mean is a military with G10 and steel plates like the gunting.

If you sell such a knife, I will buy it sure!

Best regards

Tom

Hi Tom. The Military has one full steel liner, but it's nested into the backside scale. We don't feel that a second liner is necessary (we've never had one break). But even if we were to add a second full liner, it would be nested. Nesting a liner is stronger and stiffer (although more expensive) that just "adding" a liner and using pins to hold it. And it produces a thinner knife, which is IMO easier to carry in a pocket.

The liners on the Gunting are not nested because the designer (Bram Frank) wanted the knife to be "thicker" in the hand.

The "Lil' Temperance" has two steel liners (Compression lock), but they are nested into Green G10.
