I'm not sure if my new Native just needs to be broken in or what....

But, the last inch or so before the blade closes, it doesn't snap shut in the same manner that my other FRN Spydies close. (ball detent problem?) I'm thinking of calling Mike and asking him about it, but I figured that I'd first ask those <img src="spyder.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0>Knuts out there that have one of the new S30V Natives.

Has anyone had any problems like this?

Is it the first FRN Native you have had.All the ones I have had did not shut like other spydies.I belive they have a weeker spring on the lock.

I learn something new everyday, even though I don't want to. Jeff

Sal, I plan on contacting Mike tomorrow to ask if anyone else has had this problem. The Native is secure when closed, but like I mentioned, it doesn't close &quot;by itself&quot; the last inch or so as in my other FRN Spydies.

Jeff, I have a FRN GIN-1 Native that does close pretty easily. Just not so sure about this one....

It is very well engineered and lockup is solid, but this was just a minor detail that I was wondering about. Thanks for the replies.

KBR, you're correct, my new S30V native close snapping when at blade is at 1/2 cm from handle..
