OK, I'm getting annoyed with the ti-lite wanting to open when the top guard hit my pocket on a draw... so... out came the dremel(after asking ron(sc_rebel) for tips) and made something I'm going to carry(and be able to ID the edge by feel when it's on a table open[don't ask]).
pics as soon as I have them sized

ok, now I'll explain. took the top guard off with cutoff disks, smoothed it out with 120 grit drum, then put notches in... knife was in the vice, dremel was freehand.
left it high enough to still have thumb grip, otherwise(flat) was even with handles and the notches would be for looks.

Better than it was, but CS, VW? What happened to you? <img src="wink.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0>
By the time you read this, you'll have already read it.

S&S> that was a case of "handled in store, liked it but not the price, traded with CKE for it(for a couple spydies and a neck sheath), and went long enough before mod'ing"...
getting tired of having to grab the blade in before drawing it. and now I can clip it to my belt and not catch my arm on the guard either.

Aha! Look who was blaming me for having thumbstudded knives! <img src="tongue.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0>
Otherwise, it's a nice work you've done there <img src="smile.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0>

ah, nice work VW! yes, i do recall you giving alex a little flack for having a knife with a thumbstud..... that's ok, i carry a CS X2 voyager. use it as a gardening tool. am going into business for myself as a lawncare professional. cut at some oleander bushes today for fun. how does the ti lite perform? well, take care man.

Ti-lite proforms pretty well for the steel used. I have the aus-8 at a 15inclusive then stropped(over and over)... Works very well on the 4mm plastic wrap at work.
Mod worked very nicely today at work, though I have to even the grooves out a bit in the bottom(left side is a little bit higher as right was bottom during mod). Didn't start to open on a draw today.
alex> difference b/w blaming and ribbing.

Hrm... I've got that knife too, only instead of dremelling off the guard, I got used to opening it *all the way* by catching it on the edge of the pocket, aka "Waving it".
But the mod does like nice aestically.

knife_boi> I'm not one for the wave feature. checked it out and didn't like it. I can open a 2 knives out of pocket(from "assume the position" stance) in 2sec to ready... out and back in 5... who needs fancy opening stuff?
I'd rather have it closed on the draw...

After a week of moving I come back to this...you butchered my baby!!!!AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH!
Damn nice job Patrick! That is the reason I never carried it. Like how you did the notches. Glad to see you are using it. Take Care!
BTW have you got a sheath in the works for it yet?

Craig> yep, butchered you're baby... just wait till you see the plans for my millie(with SC_rebel doing it).
Works very well now, but it's a pricy work beater. I trade back and forth with my millie for front right carry.
