View Full Version : Where To Trade?
I know that gun shows and knife shows are good places to trade knives.
However, I'm wondering....
Is there a good place online to trade knives? Or sell them?
I've got three knives that I'd like to trade, but don't know where to trade 'em! One is a Gerber Guardian in new condition, the other is a Puma German Army knife, and the third is a Kershaw Amphibian.
I'd love to trade all three for a Spydie Native (any type), but don't know where to go! Help! Anyone interested? Hint, hint...

Both Bladeforums and Knifeforums have "For Trade/Sale" forums for this type of situation. I have used BF many times. Just not as familiar with KF, but I'm confident that either might work for ya'.

Additionally, Glocktalk forums has an "edged weapons for sale" board, and Usual Suspect Network has for sale classifieds too. I've used mostly Blade Forums and Knife Forums, and had stellar success with both.

I tried to register with the Glock Forum, but it told me that my IP address has been banned (?!). I'm not sure why, since I've never been to that forum before.
At any rate, I registered for Knifeforums, and it seems like a great avenue to acquire/trade/buy knives.
Thanks, guys!

Some sites have so many problems with spamming and other behavior from the aol domain that they just block aol users entirely.

The best place is Bladeforums. You can trade there but to sell you have to buy a gold membership.

usualsuspects.net is a cool place to buy, sell & trade - you don't need to pay to do this, although the site needs and accepts voluntary donations.
There's been some great Spydies for sale there.

Thanks for the info about the two trade/sell places I have a Shabria that I never carry that I think I might try and trade for something that I'll use.

Over on KF, there's one caveat for trading. You have to name your price, whatever it may be. The mods tend to get annoyed with people saying "I have knife XXXXXX, what'll anyone trade me for it?".
By the time you read this, you'll have already read it.

I'm a moderator at BladeForums, KnifeForums, and GlockTalk. As was mentioned, trading is allowed at all 3 forums, but selling is restricted to "Gold members" at BladeForums. Also, please remember that none of the 3 forums allow items to be "auctioned", so either list a price or what you are looking to trade for.
Good luck with your trading. <img src="smile.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0>
