Being it was my first Spyderco(and probably a lot of yours as well)I was wondering if by any chance we may some time in the not to distant future see maybe if nothing else another handle type for the classic, best selling Endura.G-10 would be perfect as long as there were no liners like the military style,or maybe an almite run do to it's growing popularity, although I like a texture to my handles, but please no blade changes. The ATS-55 is perfect, and I understand the new models later this year will have a little more plain tip at the end of the serrated blade version, added for tip strength,Ilove the frn don't get me wrong,it just seems that it gets dinged pretty good over time, any other suggestions are always welcome.

Someday my friends,I'll own em all!!!

That's a nice touch dude!! I think no one would object having an Endura on G10! Spyderco did a run on a similar configuration with a delica-sized blade and named the knife "Standard". It was AWESOME but was discontinued due to low sales.... I'd love to get my hands on a plain-edged Standard!!! I guess the crew at Spyderco had similar goals, but it'll be a tough decision to get projects like such going when you factor in the cost and overall demand...

I'll second that.

I have my eyes on a Stainless version, but a G10 version sould be a nice addition to this blade.

If the Military like the existing configurations of the Endura, they should go for the G10.

Mabe this can bee the 2001 Forum Knife.

Make mine with a VG-10 blade (plain edge) and a ti or aluminum handle. Hey, this is starting to sound like a Lum folder.

What do you think Sal ?
Is this something that can be done for 2001 Forum knife, or would the 2001 Forum Knife have to be a knife made in the USA ?

This is sounding very exciting. I love my SS Endura and have carried it every day since it's purchase, well over four years ago.

In my opinion, if you changed any of the "feel" of that knife you would dilute it's strong history and original intention. I would support cosmetic or funtional changes like a SS handle w/ a tough finish or making the clip reversible for left/right use.

I think it is neat that people like this knife so much.

Peace,

stu
