I just bought a Native, and I really like the 50/50 edge setup. Sometimes, the full Spydie edge is just too rough. Are there any future plans to keep this configuration on other knives?

I SURE HOPE SO!!! I done got spoiled*G*! Note that both Gerber & Buck are copying the 50/50 edge:there's no praise like imitation!

Hi Grivp. We're putting the combination edges on more models these days. Depends on the demand. I've been carrying a combination Military that a forman (Jeff) in the shop made for me to test. All of the crew in the shop (factory) think it would be the next to intro.

Been carrying a Stainless Mariner everyday since the early '80s. Never managed to break one in spite of robust usage that includes cutting metal strapping and opening cans of paint. Lost two over the years and still miss the plain-edge that I started with. The serated edge is sometimes inconvenent. A 50/50 edge would be just right for cutting heavy rope AND sharpening a pencil. Since the all stainless Mariner is becoming difficult to find, asking for a 50/50 version seems futile but maybe....

Yeah, like I said, sometimes the full serratons are way too rough. I've referred to my Police model as my "Pocket Saw" before. I really have to say that for me the Native is my ideal pocket knife. If I ever lose it, I WILL be replacing it with another.
