Just thought about it, and the Delica is I think the only which has been made in all but one of the common materials:

- FRN

- SS

- CF

- G-10 (The C05 Standard)

- Bone (Anniversery)

Wouldn't it be nice to have a (burgundy) Micarta one also?

Yes to Micarta (ivory would ne my colour pref)

PS - there's a Titanium Handled Delica listed at Hamonchiba. (sp?)

I'd love a S30V or D2 Ti version.

Both burgundy and ivory micarta sound great! That would be one attractive tool.

I have one of the Titanium Delica models. I bought it direct from Japan for $98.00. They shipped it on Saturday and I recieved it the following Tuesday. It doesn't look too different than the SS model. A little duller perhaps. Regarding the Micarta handle Delica, look at the small Calypso in micarta. Very nice. Perhaps one of the new micarta colors would work for the Delica?

Spyderwa - hey if you ever feel the urge to trade your Ti Delica for an MT Kestrel....

I would definitely buy a Spyderco Delica Micarta. Micarta and G10 tie for my best scale materials. Jerry

The Ti Delica was hard enough to find, but I'm sure there are more. Let me know if you want to track one down. There were no customs fees, and shipping was about $10 U.S. I also got a blue Jester at the same time along with a Sakai "Q".

Oh, yes! We need a Micarta Delica. Fine linnen Micarta like the old Wayne Goddard models from the early 90's. I wouldn't even mind if the blade was mirror polished.

Clipits work!

The delica like the anniv.model only with SS bolsters and canvus micarta scales and SS clip.

I learn something new everyday, even though I don't want to. Jeff

I'd like to see both a macarta Delica, and a Dragonfly. Black is fine, I'm not going to ask for colors, or we may never see it! RKBA!

Speaking of micarta, one of the most undervalued knives out there right now is the Spydie micarta Smith collaboration knife. It regularly trades for only 50 to 60 bucks and I'm not sure why. I've got a couple, and it's nice. Heavier than my Goddards, but still a really nice piece. And yeah, I'd be right at the front of the line for a micarta Delica, but let's do it in color ... (grinning).. Burgandy ... Please ...

Not very fond of Micarta, I preffer G-10, but thanks for the tip about the Ti Delica. Looks like there's another Delica on my wish list...
