Hola Patogordo. The first run of Mil jr will be a test for us to see if we want to make them. Only a small number of the test run will be available for purchase and probably at a pretty high price.

Will pictures of the mini mil be made available? (especially pictures of it side by side with the regular military or something else for size comparison)

I have the full size Military and love it, but I can't cary it every where I go. New Jersey has a max limit of 4" and something slightly smaller than that would be appreciated. Please put me down on the list for a right handed serrated version of the Military Jr.

One way or the other, you pay for your tools!

As I said on BF "Count me in"!

I'd even pay a bit more to the Childrens Hospital to get on the list.

Is VG-10 or BG-42 and the Compression Lock still a probability?

I'll jump on the list.

It would be well worth it IMHO, esp if we were looking at a compression lock with BG-42

I'm probably in either way though, just have to find the cash to feed my habit

sal, could you contact me with the info on this?

I would like:
size(blade and overall)
steel type
handle type
price
date available

I like the design of the millie, but not the size. I use 2.5-3" as my comfortable size, 2" for school.

Will the first batch go to members of the Collectors Club as usual, or do I have to sign up??
If so, then sign me up

Tom, I remember this topic being discussed last summer over at the Spyderco page at BladeForum. Try snoopin' around there. Do an archive search for Military Jr.
Later,
Barry H

The only info that I saw on Blade Forum in regards to the Mini Mili, is that the blade will be 2 1/2 inches in length.
Any other info available in regards to blade steel, handle material, or estimated release date ?

Hi Sal,
Miss running into you around SFO. Always a pleasure talking with you. Hope this finds you and Gail well. A mini Military is a great idea. An 3/4 version using the same materials and construction would be a huge hit. Don't change anything else. Same Blade CMP440V and thickness, Same G10 and scale thickness, all specs the exact same just 3/4 size. This would accomodate smaller hands and reduce blade length to a perfect 3" for daily carry and leave all the heft and utility of the full size Military. IMHO this would be a nearly perfect knife. Thanks for your attention to the details we all appreciate it.

Perhaps a 3/4-sized Military should be called "Paramilitary."

Of course it needs to be tip-up/down convertible.

Hi Mholt1.
Welcome to the Spyderco forum. I'm still in & out of SFO fairly often.

The model is still in the design stage so nothing to report yet.
