Yep, one of the few times I get stuck with the comp.

This is day 3 working on the same problem. Had it last week, solved it then, and wednesday this week it popped up again.

My ISP email and webspace cannot be accessed on my comp, I have a hell of a time getting into irc and icq progs(these 2 came up last night after my reboot for upgrades).

Last week I ran ad-aware, spybot, NAV 03, defrag, restart and checkdisk. Fixed it.

Did that all last night(again) and still nothing.

On top of that, the blaster virus is hitting me with everything, has Popup stopper going constant. Got in this morning and had 47 windows open.

Soon going to save stuff to disk and reformat the comp. if I can't get er fixed by sunday night, bye bye files.

vampyrewolf,
Since you say the blaster worm is hitting you hard, job one is to get it off your computer. Here is a link that can give you info on how to do it. http://www.sarc.com/avcenter/venc/data/w32.blaster.worm.html

Try uninstalling your Internet Adapter. That usually works on mine.

Here's a link to a good antivirus (though made in Romania, it was recently bought by Microsoft to be incorporated in their future OS, and this should say something about those who made it), it's always updated, it scans online and it's free: http://www.ravantivirus.com/scan/
BTW, you don't have to subscribe if you don't want to. Just click after "continue without subscribing"
Anyway, as an elementary rule of protection, always backup your important files on a CD, every two or three months (or even earlier if necessary). This way you won't cry after your lost data

I got hit bad by the blasterworm and as the idiot sister of my beloved had installed pirate software without telling us we couldn't use microsoft downloads. I found a site from (I think) Poland which worked wonders. www.kaspersky.com. I accessed them through a Brit government funded site www.itwales.com so I think they are fairly kosher.
