Jester Clip suggestions

I have a Jester in the mail coming for my girl, and was wondering how I could use the lanyard hole to affix a clip. Does Spyderco sell clips by themselves, or does anyone out there have suggestions or experience with this conversion. Thanks in advance for replying.

Ted, Spyderco has 31 knives in their current line-up fitted with a clip. They have only 3 folders in the current line-up with out a clip, you buy one and want to fix a clip to it????

If it is an FRN or micarta Jester, attaching a clip would be difficult or impossible as it would mean screwing into fairly thin plastic. If it is stainless, it "might" work. Best chance would be using the clip from a Navigator, it's the smallest, smaller even than the one on a Toad, and setting it up for tip up carry. The trick would be finding the clip and someone capable of drilling and tapping the handle.

On the other hand, you may want to consider installing a split ring in the lanyard hole attaching that to one end of a quick detach fitting, and attaching the other end to a keyring (see the attached pic) or snap.

Thanks for the suggestion, Paul. It is a plastic handle (pink to be exact). I'm pretty sure I'm going to set it up like you have. Thanks for spending the time to send that attachment.
And to Jurphaas; My lady wanted a pink Clipit. She saw how all of us with Spydercos had such a practical tool at our fingertips. When a pink Clipit comes into the line, let me know. Until then, a little adjusting will have to do. But thanks for your reply.

They are hard to find but there were pink Crickets and Delicas made.

Ted, I was teasing you a little and you've showed to be a great sports! On the serious side however, my wife is really grazy about the Cricket! Not without reason. All C29 Crickets come with a standard pocket clip, can be had plain or serrated, in SS, in FRN, with a bit of luck in colors, with Carbon Fiber and the original with Allu scales. The blade is cleverly shaped and it makes this knife an excellend performer without much bulk. Ask your wife to carry one for a while and let her tell you how much she likes it!
