I would like to formally complain about Disountknives.com. It starts out I sent them a printed out order form for a SpydeRench, I e-mail them to ask if the received my order and they did and also told me that the SpydeRenches are on back order for a while and that they do not have a delivery date. So I say no biggie, and reply to them saying I would like a Pegasus instead, and to use the left over money to send it next day air if possible. I haven’t heard from them since the 5th of Monday. No package, no e-mails. I at least think they could of e-mailed me and told me it couldn’t of been shipped next day air, Or that there was some delay. I think it is wrong that they dont anwser faithful costumers. So are there any suggestions as to what I should do? I guess the lesson in the end is the cheap price you pay isn’t worth the hassle.

Mr. Brown was notifed that the knife was also on backorder and he was asked if he wanted us to hold his order. As of this date we have not received a reply to this request.

They are having a pretty tough time, kind of makes you wonder how they manage to stay open. A few months ago I e-mailed them about a Chinook and also told them I had some concerns after reading some ugly thinks about them on all the forums. They got back to me and cleared up any dubts I had. I e-mailed them the next day saying I would like to go ahead and order one... I never got a response!!1 I waited 2 weeks and bought it elsewhere... I would have thought after telling them I was active on the forums and heard bad stuff about them, they would want to make sure everything went smooth. Guess some people could care less about customer service.

I ordered a lt.wt. native and a tri-angle sharpmaker from Discountknives ( by credit card) about a week ago and got both items delivered priority mail on Saturday. So I can't complain.

I wish I could say the same... I re-read my post and I wasn't trying to knock discount knives just stating what happened if you do a search over at www.bladeforums.com in the good the bad and the ugly you will see at lot of problems. I was willing to take a chance but nobody ever got back to me
