I decided to go ahead and get one of the Lum Tantos,at 50.00 I just could not pass it up.Just got off the phone with SFO and they only had one left and it was a VG10 PE.

Hows that for timeing?

I guess the Grey Calypso Jr will wait a week or two longer.

Congrats!

What really sucks is that I knew about this for two days, had the money, but was at work when SFO is open (so couldn't order over the phone), and online ordering didn't work, so I missed out because I simply could not place an order. Ah,well...

Good work, Jeff!

The Lum Tanto is a well designed and sturdy folder. I lucked out and nabbed the last Frank Recupero file worked G10 Navigator. Paid the same meager $50.00 too! Unbelievable bargains out there right now.

Jeff,

Pulled the last one off of Bladeart.com. I originall called to buy one of Rob's Bitter Root neck knives and Aida told me about his passing last week. I was stunned and didn't really vist the Forum except to post about his burial service until tonight. I checked bladeart and they have already purged the photo from the site. Knife arrived Wednesday and it took me all of 10 seconds to strop the knife on my pants leg, miss and drive the back of the blade 1/4' into my thigh. Man did I feel (and look) stupid... I'm now sporting a butterfly closure, superglue, and a healthy respect for this fine piece of work. I have the site pic and will post if I can resize it. She's a purty lil' filly!

I thought the Lum Tanto was only available in ATS-55.

The later ones had VG10.I asked because they were listed as ATS 55 and he checked and said this one was a VG10 model.
