I just got an email from John Row's wife Heidi and she told me that John is critically ill and in ICU. He is on a ventilator and is having asthma/bronchitis problems. He is well known on the Spyderco Forum and I really hate this has happened to him. Please keep John and his family in your thoughts and prayers.

I just purchased a Calypso w/ micarta scales and plain edge from John 12 days ago. He was excellent to deal with and kept me up to date on the status from start to finish.
John and his family are in my thoughts today and I wish him a swift and complete recovery.

Greetings Amigos~
Just wanted to update you on how John is doing. I called his wife, Heidi, this morning and she said that he is finally awake! He has been in the hospital for close to 5 weeks now and for most of that time he has been unconscious. Heidi said that he just recently woke up and is able to speak with her a little bit. He can't move well because of all the meds he has received and will be needing some physical rehab to get them muscles back in motion. But, HE'S AWAKE!!!! He is improving and will, hopefully, be going home in a few weeks.
I hope this news cheers you up as much as it has me.
Aloha~

Patti,
That is good news indeed. I hope he can now regain all his health and vitality. He's certainly been missed here and I think of him often when I log in.
BTW, should be having a bit of news of my own soon .
Take care,
Clay
