On Dec. 11 I received my Vesuvius ce from ebay and the next day the Lum Chinese arrived from Cutlery Shoppe (thanks for the tip, Allan). Two new Spydercos on cosecutive days is an incredible treat - one more and I'd probably need a sedative (and a skin graft for my thumb!). Happy Holidays to all!

I am very happy for you, JRH. What a great way to start the holidays! My 2 Lum Chinese folders will be arriving at my work tomorrow; however, I am off tomorrow but I will make a special trip - it's only 30 minutes each way - to pick them up. Enjoy your week.

Mr. Shawn, You're going to love the Lum - very ergonomic handle, unusual but very useful blade shape, and of course Spydie-sharp. The only problem is that it's almont to pretty to carry. Could that be why you ordered two? I should have thought of that.

Congratulations on your new acquisitions. The Lum is indeed a fine knife. I seldom carry mine, I'd hate to scratch those blue almite scales <img src="sad.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0>
What sort of Vesuvius did you got? The blue shell inlay, the one with the silver bug, or the new lockback model?

Dialex - Mine has the silver bug, compression lock and ATS-34 steel. And as nice as the Centofante and Lum are, I'd happily trade them both for a chance at getting a Spyderco/Dialex Mako (or Raptor or U-Boot). That would truly be a tough choice. Seriously, your designs are exellent and it would be a shame if we don't see any put into production soon.

Yes, JRH, I did order 2 PE Lum folders because I want one that I can carry and another one for display. I also ordered a SE Lum folder from knifecenter.com before I heard about the great sale at Cutlery Shoppe. I am sure that you will find another one at a comparable price one day.
