lanyard link thread
Alright, i dont know how well this will fly but i figure with all the lanyard and fob fans here we should have a thread that is a database of sorts, so we dont have to search the forum for an hour to find a link to a particular knot. So ill contribute the ones that i have found moust usefull, and please feel free to add some and help us all out. I need some help though, you guys know of much better stuff out there.
This site has many knots on it, and a great discription of the knife lanyard knot. http://www.folsoms.net/knots/ this site is great for any sinnet for braid that i can think of. http://boondoggleman.com/ J

I posted this on the other thread awhile ago. I stated then that I thought it would be a good idea to do something like this.

Hello Irish Lager,
You asked me about the Cobra Twist today. It's really nothing more than a Cobra Stitch only you don’t alternate the ends. I did a little step-by-step, visual tutorial of the Cobra Stitch. The pics should explain it. I tried to take them so that they would teach without any commentary, but tomorrow I will try to repost them with a commentary.

What about links to places to buy lanyard supplies? Rope/Nylon, clips, those little skull beads, etc?
Also, for those of us who FAILED knot tying in Boy Scouts, anybody out there willing to help out a spyderbrother?

Here's what looks to be pretty good instructions for the Turks Head.
http://www.folsoms.net/knots/tejay/index.htm IL, it might be a good idea to start putting all these links in the first post. Otherwise, as this thread gets bigger, we'll just need another thread to index this one.

Here's a short 'How to' video I made on the round sinnet lanyard/fob. I think a beginner would get the gist of it. I used two pieces of gutted paracord, one 30 inches the other 25 inches which will give a finished lanyard/fob with about a 3 inch loop and a 2 inch body. To make it a square sinnet instead, after the first stitch, just keep the cords going straight across each other instead of at an angle for each stitch and you'll end up with a square body with solid colors on the sides instead of the round sinnets spiral effect.

I made an attempt at a tutorial for one of the lanyards I've made. Hopefully it's not too confusing.
Here's the link: Paracord Lanyard Project
