The blade of this remarkable knife features three-layer laminate construction. Its core is HAP40—a high-speed powder metallurgy tool steel containing generous amounts of tungsten, molybdenum, vanadium, and cobalt. To provide increased strength and corrosion resistance, the HAP40 core is flanked by layers of SUS410 martensitic stainless steel. This unique three-layer construction is clearly revealed by the blade’s full-flat grind.

Equally impressive, the handle of this Exclusive Police 4 showcases full stainless steel liners, a stainless steel backspacer, and scales machined from mahogany Pakkawood—a unique material that combines the durability and stability of a phenolic laminate with the beauty of natural wood. All the other elements of this knife, including its sturdy back lock mechanism and versatile four-position pocket clip, are consistent with the standard version of the Police 4.
