I hope that's it. Glad to see it's not any flashy colors. I'll reserve judgement on the scales, until I have it in hand. My last hope is that it doesn't have any of that "1st Run" type markings on the blade.

BBS has been selling more and more items at or near MAP for a while now. It's mostly their new old stock on disco'd items that is priced higher these days. It's not hard to go look and verify this.

$80.97 grossed up by 40% is a $134.95 MSRP. While I haven't seen this officially posted yet, it seems right in line. MSRP for a base Delica 4 is $114.95 and that's a high volume model that has been around for a while. New tooling, arguably a better steel, maybe not projecting Delica-like sales volumes, inflation... The price is going to be higher.

I have an open mind on the texturing, hope it's a little less aggressive than the standard BDT. Like the dark gray color a lot. Look forward to picking one up.

It kind of looks like it has a stainless backspacer? I also am wondering if it has liners or not.

Super excited!

This is exactly what I'm hoping Salaclaus leaves under the tree this year. :)

Looking very smart. With the liners I'm interested to see how it compares in weight to the Native 5 LW. Can't wait to get my hands on one of these!

Yes, that dark gray is just what I was hoping for. This was the top color choice in the poll sometime back. Awesome!

I agree. Subtle and classy. I had a gray Delica a while back and I think that color is one of the best. All subjective of course, but in my mind I know I’m right. :)

That's a deal if I've ever seen one. I think you have to go to the ZDP-189 to get a comparable steel on a Delica outside of sprints, and the ZDP is $100. I don't usually go for duplicates of a design, but already having a CF Chaparral I'm going to end up with a Raffir Noble and an FRN; I just have this feeling...
I'm not sure I would call it a "deal". I would have expected it to come in around the Delica price. Sure hope that isn't MAP pricing.
Eric told me at Blade that was the plan, to come in at the Delica price. One, I expect BBS to be a little high, so it may yet still come in at closer to the Delica. Two, I think that even if it is ~$15 more, you're getting more than $15 in upgrades, though some of that is absolutely personal choice (size, choil vs no choil). But objectively, CTS-XHP is, in general, better than VG-10, Taichung is a better maker than Seki City, and you're getting a thinner, smaller, lighter knife with a thinner blade. I love the Delica, don't get me wrong; I just think that around that price the FRN Chaparral is a superior purchase for the money.

KC has it listed at a MAP of $81 and with a weight of 2.0 oz. That is light!

I’m starting to think I will probably actually prefer this one over my Raffir Noble..by a long shot. I might ask for this for Christmas if it drops by then.
