Ladybug® Pakkawood HAP40/SUS410 Exclusive

This limited-edition Exclusive version of the Ladybug® was specially manufactured for Knife Center (KnifeCenter.com) and is available only through their sales channels.

The blade of this elite expression of the Ladybug is crafted from a three-layer laminated steel featuring a HAP40 core and SUS410 outer layers. Containing generous amounts of tungsten, molybdenum, vanadium, and cobalt, HAP40 is a high-speed tool steel produced by the powder metallurgy process. Tough and wear resistant, it is sandwiched between layers of SUS410 martensitic stainless steel, which provide additional strength and corrosion resistance. This dramatic three-layer construction is clearly revealed by the blade’s full-flat grind.

Equally unique, the handle of this Exclusive knife features a stainless steel body flanked by mahogany Pakkawood scales. Pakkawood combines the rich beauty of natural wood with the durability and stability of a phenolic laminate, making this knife both a fully functional cutting tool and a work of art.
