Native 5
Golden, Colorado
Fifty years.
One knife.
Chapter I
An origin, refined.
In 1976, Spyderco proposed that a folding knife should open with one hand. The pocket clip, the round hole, the serrated edge — patents that became conventions.
Half a century later, the principle remains. The instrument has matured.
Chapter II
Each Native 5 50th Anniversary is finished by hand in Golden, Colorado.
The handle scales are crafted from amber-colored bone, beautifully polished, and dovetailed to seamlessly mate with the mosaic damascus bolsters.
No part of this knife is hurried.
Blade steel
CPM S90V
A particle-metallurgy steel developed for Spyderco. Holds its edge longer than S90V. Sharpens cleanly with a stone. Forgiving in the hand, unforgiving in the cut.
